It is growing actually, Really well but it is growing straight upwardly. I know I need to replant information technology into a larger pot. In the pictures it is well over 12 inches tall and it fifty-fifty put out what I thought was a flower stalk which never did anything.

I have never grown one as a houseplant, merely outside they volition grow in either sunday or shade. The shaded one doesn't blooms likewise and the 1 in part sun.

It is in a rather shallow container/pot right now though. Possibly 2 inches deep and is 6x6 or so. The primary two reasons plants get long and lanky are too much nitrogen and non plenty sunlight. Y'all might want to put the plant in a deeper pot tho just to cutting back on how much watering you accept to practise since they similar moist soil.
I don't grow plants within so I am not familiar with how an 80 watt abound calorie-free seedling compares to real sunlight but everything I have read about growing Wandering Jew indoors says it needs some sunlight every day. Most recommend planting it in a hanging handbasket and hanging in front of an east or south window...or out on a covered porch that faces eastward for a few hours everyday.

Well the get-go flower openned today. I think there is some other half dozen-vii of them to open sooner or later.
Also, the ones I cut off, information technology has been less than 2 weeks and I already have numerous offshoots, six-7 so far with what looks similar 5-6 more from 4 stalks. I don't know if the atmospheric condition are simply perfect or what but I have a lot of them and information technology was a lot faster than I thought information technology would be.

My cuttings are also taking root now so information technology will soon be time to get them planted, in a much deeper pot this time so I take another group of them growing to savor and of grade experiment with.
Well everything is growing like wildfire. My trimmings have taken root and have put out extra shoots in the new pot so I got more than I expected. I become a expert root start on them with a lot of stem in the h2o and they are so potent right now. iii new starts from underneath the soil as well.
The stem that flowered put out some other stalk that is now flowering. I may have 3 others that are going to flower as well but only i that seems to for certain so far. I am gonna attempt to get seeds from them once the pods start to dry out out a lilliputian, if they do.

All the stems left from what I cut off are growing new starts very apace and very healthily. A couple have 2 starts not to mention 3 starts from the soil from whichever ones. I think that starting a really long stalk instead of short cutting has helped them put out more than starts from under the soil than you might get otherwise.

I am thinking I need to fertilize them really good presently with all this growth so they can bulk upward for the winter. Non certain if I volition use a liquid fertilizer, Jobe stakes or both only will be doing it soon. Hopefully it will get all the new starts in the original pot a really good start and maybe get some more new ones from the soil before information technology starts to get colder.

This is a moving picture of the starts I did a while agone. they have almost tripled in length. I started v of them and take 10 at present with i extra off the stems and iv out of the ground. These are in the south window and although get no directly sunlight they are purple as can be. Approximate indirect light is just as good.

This is the original establish. Information technology is difficult to see the specific places it started simply there were only 2 long ones after I cut them off and now there are xv shorter ones with the 2 longer ones I left.

I volition have to say that this is probably one of the easiest plants I have e'er kept. I forget to water information technology for a week, it dries out and does fine.
